MotherBoard — Eisemann Edge 2020
Commissioned by the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas through the Eisemann Edge initiative, this modular sculptural installation celebrates the technological innovation inherent in the history of the city.
I joined the LightSquad, a team of students lead by UT Dallas professors Andrew Scott + Roxanne Minnish and staff member Matt Unkenholz, and worked on research, development, and installation of the sculptural work in the Eisemann Center lobby. The piece combines the technologies of LED lighting, audio components, projectors, cameras, video, and motion sensors; with materials of steel, plexiglass, wood, and plastic tubing; through the processes of welding, laser cutting, CNC milling, and multi-media sculpture.
I worked alongside Amir Naqi and Andrew Rowan on developing audiovisual elements for the circuit-board focused panel of the triptych and later painting and final installation. Photos showcased were taken by team members, #2-4 by Sarah Wall.
