Toast Christ — pastiche

Modeled after Christian religious art (loosely in particular after Andrés Serrano) and the socio-cultural phenomenon of discovering images (recognizing patterns) of Christ in toast, grilled cheeses, and other bread-based food items.
Created in response to prompt from xtine burrough in Fall 2021’s Culture Jamming coursework.
Sliced white, whole wheat, and raisin bread laser engraved using Glowforge Pro laser cutter. Source images used with acceptance/caveat that these images are highly political and unrealistic representations of a historical Christ. Thank you to Cameron Steele and the UTDesign Makerspace.
